GeForce Now

Post by Grogan »

I guess this is Nvidia's answer to Google's failed Stadia. Game streaming service with server side rendering. I was curious when I saw someone say "You could play this game through GFN if you don't have the hardware" so I looked it up.

I'm not interested, but this tickled my funny bone

Guffaw... "sold out"? They'll sell you the Ultimate service no problem, but the other options for this digital service are sold out. The same lower priced "performance" tier is not sold out if you choose the "6 month" plan

Also odd... if you're paying for a service, why would it disconnect you after a set number of hours? (I could see a restriction like that on the free service)

It sounds pretty disingenuous to me.

For that $26/month after a year they would have paid enough to buy a video card. And they have to wait inline before they can start playing a game.

... and you have to buy the games, that $26 doesn't give you access to them.
