DistroSea

Post by Zema Bus »

DistroSea.com is a site where you can check out various distros (and two BSD's) in a browser. It might be a good quick and dirty way for someone who wants to get an idea of what a distro or DE is like and doesn't want to bother with a VM. Not surprisingly it's a bit laggy, and there's no connectivity or sound. The Arch one just boots the installer and there's no connectivity for it either so you couldn't do all that much, plus the only drive is the virtual boot medium.

I chose Ubuntu Unity, just to torture myself

That's more just testing distros' GUIs rather than getting any kind of feel for the distro. Unity is still yuckity.
