Might as well start a thread for desktop/wallpaper pics.
Note that if you post a big image here, the board will scale it down, even though I have image size limits disabled. It's happening client side, so the original image is always there if you right click and Open Image in New Tab. Even if I set dimensions it's still done client side, so the full image can always be viewed/downloaded. This applies to posting attachments and inline image links.
This is my dizzying desktop. I say that because it was almost dizzying walking around on that moon in the lee of that ringed giant, the magnitude of it on this big monitor.
Original game screenshot (not desktop with panel). Too bad I didn't use a photo mode and it has the HUD displays, but oh well. I'd never remember where that moon was to go back there, it was in a random system I warped to.

P.S. I CAN find the moon again, it's right there on my HUD lol, "Hawking V-A" (Hawking system, planetary system 5, designated first moon etc.). It will still be the same in my game state since I've been there and generated it. It would be a matter of where to land on the planet to get that view though.
Also, I have noticed that I haven't said that this was the game Starfield, from Bethesda (still the old company when this game was developed)

Re: New Wallpaper
I got a nice shot in Photo Mode of a similar scene. It turned out I hadn't even left the moon yet, and my original spot was marked as a landing site for me to fast travel back to. The game actually saved a nice PNG, so I kept that format

However, while it's the better screenshot, I didn't quite capture the majesty of that blue giant the way the last one did. I should have been looking up higher with the camera, to catch more of the rings. It's missing some of the vastness.
I'll probably never learn to use a camera correctly, but at least I should be able to take decent screenshots
