Since when is there ever a "penalty" for canceling membership? It used to be that you could cancel any time and get a refund for the time you had left. The Trump regime did away with that "one click cancel" rule, so it sounds like they've gotten bolder. I don't see why I should keep paying for this shit (and I haven't been buying much lately). These changes will be effective on September 7, 2025. After this date, the Shipping Benefits and Eligible Purchases provision and the Agreement Changes provision of the terms will be the following: Shipping Benefits and Eligible Purchases Prime shipping benefits depend upon inventory availability, order deadlines, and in some cases the shipping address. They are limited to certain products sold by Amazon.ca (or third-party sellers participating in Prime) on the Amazon.ca website. Products eligible for Prime will be designated as such on their product pages. Some special product, order, handling fees, and/or taxes may still apply to eligible purchases. If only some items in your order are eligible for Prime, you will pay applicable shipping charges for the ineligible items. Changing or combining orders, or changing your shipping address, speed, or preferences might affect Prime eligibility. Certain purchases may only be entitled to Standard Shipping because of their size, weight, and other shipping characteristics. Delivery benefits and shipping speeds vary from item to item, and not all benefits and speeds are available in all areas. Unexpected service delays (including weather conditions, natural disasters and unforeseen events) can extend shipping timelines. Shipping speeds may also vary during peak sales seasons. We may exclude products with special shipping characteristics at our discretion.

Also, I've felt guilty for keeping this account in the first place because of the demonstrated alignment of their founder. I don't like giving money to people who support fascists.
