My DMV Adventure
I finally got the DMV ordeal done and over with on my 3rd trip over there. I was there about 90 mins. They don't use eye charts like at every other DMV office I've ever been to, instead they use a viewer you look into similar to what an optometrist would use. Maybe they all do that now, my last DMV visit was in 2006. Then when taking the picture he had to have me correct a head tilt - I have scoliosis and it throws things out of alignment. I first noticed that when I had to use a webcam a couple years ago. Finally when he was wrapping things up he had me verify the info to go on my driver license, he had typed in "gry" for hair color - my hair is still more than 95% brown, there's a small patch of gray in front therefore it's all gray
That may be the case once I'm in my 70's since my older brother is now all gray in his late 70's. My driver license will be good for 5 years until 2030. Vehicle registration was a lot cheaper than in California - In Arizona it's $138 for 5 years, vs California's $500 for 1 year, and every other year $550 due to smog test fees. Glad that's done and over with.

Re: My DMV Adventure
What a crock of shit that you went through, though. That does sound more reasonable, they are nuts in California (fruits and nuts lol). I think they left off at $120/year here before they eliminated it altogether. Now you don't even have to renew it, it just renews automatically if you don't have any outstanding fines or suspensions etc.
I'm mostly grey now. And bozo-the-clown bald, too
