Just noticed the Min, Max, and Close buttons are invisible on Firefox and Thunderbird. They still work, but you can't see them, and they are spaced closer together. I can't seem to find anything in settings. Maybe this is now natural behavior?
I can use the taskbar but I'm a creature of habit. Why did they go invisible?

That isn't normal, no. Maybe something to do with your desktop environment's theme?
What about other GTK+ programs, do they have the same behaviour? Try opening Gimp or something.

Re: Minimize, Maximize, and close buttons gone on Firefox and Thunderbird.
Everything else has normal behavior. Looking around, I accidentally saw Titlebar and clicked it. All buttons are back in Firefox. Now I have to do the same and find it in Thunderbird....
Re: Minimize, Maximize, and close buttons gone on Firefox and Thunderbird.
Fixed TB just now. I have no clue how I hid the titlebar to begin with. Just goes to show I can break anything....

Re: Minimize, Maximize, and close buttons gone on Firefox and Thunderbird.
Ahh, the titlebar toolbar customization setting. That shouldn't remove maximize and minimize controls, moreover they are very prominent in that mode (client side decorations). Maybe they aren't working right in your window manager (plasma 5/kwin?) with your window control graphics or something.
I don't normally use this mode (I like titlebar with my window manager's window decorations) but this is what it it is supposed to look like (well, with my GTK+ styling)

Re: Minimize, Maximize, and close buttons gone on Firefox and Thunderbird.
It wasn't that they were removed - they were invisible! They still worked even though they couldn't be seen. Just had to hover until the right one was covered. Just doing it blind. Was blind, but now I see.
