And Gamers Nexus did a big 3 hour video on the tariffs and the affect they are having on hardware prices. I haven't finished this one yet.

It makes more sense when you understand that the consequences are part of the plan. You're not dealing with someone that's looking for success, only destruction so he can rule over the rubble and the robber barons can fight over the spoils. Isolating the country is also part of the plan, not a consequence. This is a full on, autocratic dictatorship consolidating its power. He does not give a fuck about anybody's losses or suffering. Moreover, he uses that to manipulate his rubes. He does them harm, but as long as he's doing more harm to the people they hate, they are OK with that.

There is but one thing left that stands in his way, the Constitution and the courts that enforce it. It won't be long now until he diminishes their power by ignoring their orders. It starts with defying the supreme court over the meaning of the word "facilitate". Once he gets away with that, it gets easier every time. They arrested a judge today for supposedly defying ICE, by allowing a lawyer and his client to leave the court room through another door.

Everything is going to get expensive, and a lot of shelves are going to be bare. Probably starting to get noticeable within weeks.

... and that cunt has started making noise about annexing Canada and making it the 51st state again, days before our election. He claims he's "not trolling". Like we'd want to be part of the farting shithole he wants to remake the world into.

I did jump through those videos last night and yes, every part, every screw, every gromit has to be sourced from somewhere and manufacturing has been long gone... the tariffs are simply going to disrupt supply chains.

In order to favour domestic manufacturing, the manufacturing has to be there to start with!

He knows all this, and if he didn't, someone will have clued him in. He's a disingenuous asshole.

I bought a nice NAD stereo integrated amplifier back in February this year, and in three months the price of it has gone up by three hundred dollars. JFC!

Everything is going to go up everywhere, often arbitrarily, based on speculation and the simple fact that they can get away with it with Trump's economic warfare as the reason. Especially since it will be a de-facto "crime" to report the cost of tariffs. (Amazon had to very quickly backtrack when Trump's bimbos said it was treasonous to President Trump lol)
