None of my Ubisoft games will connect now

Ubisoft client update. Odyssey OK, played for a bit. Valhalla OK, played for a bit. Far Cry 6 started and I was playing it, actually doing a mission, but something happened and my taskbar came up and I couldn't get rid of it. Odd... not even the IceWM window list worked. So I quit the game and... Ubisoft is prompting for a username and password. I don't even think I have one for that account, it's just tied to my Steam account. If I ever did have one I don't remember what email address I used or any password. (I don't think it's my main email, at least that isn't working for it). Now all my Ubisoft games (in separate wine prefixes!) are prompting for this login.

Fuck, I hate Ubisoft.

I found a text file on the old computer, "uplay.txt" (which shows how old it is) and it's indeed my main email address (assuming it's the same account... I had an old one years ago). Something must have been down for it to not send "password recovery". I'll wait a bit, but I do know the password. I hope it's not been reset by clicking that button. It really shouldn't need a login, maybe later it will just work.

It did make me login with that account, for each game. That's something that doesn't ever happen, even when I buy a new Ubisoft game.

I'm sick and bloody tired of Ubisoft and their shit. That's no accident, that taskbar popping up and not dismissing was probably the client doing something and it couldn't bring itself in the foreground in this WM. Whatever it did, it completely invalidated my Steam tie-ins for all the games.

I mean it this time, NEVER again will I buy anything from them. It's just not worth the risk to get invested in their games. They treat their customers like shit, they don't care if you like their games or not, only that you pay them.

I tested mine with AS Valhalla and Far Cry 6, it updated the launcher and relaunched it, and the games loaded normally for me. Usually when the launcher updates itself it prompts me to login but I just kill it and relaunch it and then it just works. This time it didn't prompt to login afterwards and took me right into the game. Maybe this was just a regional issue again, I had trouble a month ago (ironically it was 1 month to the day) when you didn't.

Yes, I've had that happen a few times too after client updates, but I just click the x. This time it was for real though.

I too was playing my game when this happened, it didn't prompt initially for any of the games.
