I remember sometime in the 1970's going with my parents to one of the local stores and my dad testing all the tubes from the TV to find the bad one.

We didn't have 7 Eleven stores in Canada back then, but I remember seeing those machines in hardware and electronics stores as a kid.

Now there's nothing you can fix on a TV.
