Yep, it begins. Sending the army against U.S. citizens. He's officially a tyrant.

Trump WILL find a reason to declare martial law, he'll create it. Dicktater handbook 101.

This channel is running live coverage of it:

EDIT
He had to end the stream at 12 hours so here's another one:

I haven't been to LA since the 80's when I went with my family to LAX when we flew to Hawaii a couple times. Watching this guy drive around the city makes me glad to live far from any metro areas.

On Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Police Department made another escalation, flying over a group of demonstrators in downtown LA in a helicopter and announcing, “I have all of you on camera. I’m going to come to your house.”

The threat was greeted with extreme concern by civil liberties and digital privacy groups; if it was a true statement, it suggests that the LAPD could be using facial recognition to identify and retaliate against protesters. And if it is false, warned Jonathan Markovitz, a staff attorney with the ACLU of Southern California, it is still an overt attempt to frighten and intimidate demonstrators.

“This is a chilling statement,” he told Mother Jones. “Even if it were a joke, it was clearly designed to make the public afraid to exercise its First Amendment rights to protest and to hold government officials, including LAPD officers, accountable for their actions.”

Police are authoritarians and most always align with conservative politics. Empower them and they will gladly oppress. They have to be kept on a short leash.

No Kings Day is today. Trump is celebrating his birthday with a military parade, he's also getting nationwide protests.

The US military pledges allegiance first and foremost to the constitution. Everything else comes after and under that. Trump's use of ICE, his deployment of the National Guard in defiance of the California State Governor, and his deployment of the Marines are violations of law, state rights, and the constitution. Every police officer, Guardsman, and marine that "followed orders" should be immediately dismissed and arrested as traitors along with the entire trump administration. The entire ICE department should be in orange overalls and cuffs.

There is no shortage of authoritarians in police and military, there are always enough people to follow a dictator. He pretty much has control of the military with Hegseth and the brass he's replaced. He's got control of the FBI, the DHS and the DEA (we haven't heard much about them) doesn't matter because they are authoritarian anyway. None of those people will see any consequences for what they are doing.

Sheriffs are particularly bad, they tend to think they ARE the law. Elected assfucks that don't even necessarily know much about policing.

This guy in the video is preaching to the choir (of course we agree with what he's saying), but the people who really need to listen are deliberately obtuse.

I've been off the computer most of the day and I'm just getting caught up. I really hope that people pissed on his parade. It utterly disgusts me that he ordered a military parade on his birthday.

Around 20,000 went to his vanity parade. The seating looked empty, apparently at least in part because people reserved seats and made sure to not show up.
By comparison over 11,000,000 attended the various "No Kings" rallies around the US.

Pretty embarrassing, ~50 million spent with far more protestors than cheerleaders ("Tens of people seemed to enjoy it")

Trump actually has to cheat if he wants the appearance of fandom. For example, before his speech at Fort Bragg he screened attendees so that only the best looking MAGAT soldiers were in the audience, cheering and booing Trumps enemies. They were actually questioned about Trumps agendas and also filtered based on appearance.

This miserable fucking shit is spreading here too. I was going to post it in a new thread, but in my mind it's related.

Valedictorian told to stay home after making pro-Palestinian remarks in grad speech
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/v ... -1.5758371
The valedictorian at a west Ottawa high school says she's been told not to come to school Monday after she made pro-Palestinian remarks during a speech at her commencement ceremony.

Elizabeth Yao largely focused on highlights from the past four years at Bell High School during her speech on Thursday, including a memorable waffle fundraiser and the days spent dozing off while reading Shakespeare.

Her comments on the war in Gaza came at the end, after a land acknowledgement.

"As a commitment to truth and reconciliation, I must acknowledge colonial and genocidal atrocities today, including the massacre of more than 17,000 Palestinian children in Gaza," Yao said, breaking off as the crowd cheered.

The next day, Yao said she received a call from her principal, who said her statements had "caused harm" and told her she shouldn't come to school on Monday.
The school just happens to have a large Arab/Islamic population, so it was met with cheers. The principal is on the wrong side of this and can't actually suspend or expel her because she broke no rules or laws and it's actually within the scope of the school's ideology. He should be made to resign, "don't come to school while I figure out how I can spin this to expel you" is essentially what he's saying.

It's HER fucking speech, she had a right to say that whether those jumped up prigs on the school board like it or not.

This makes me very angry.

The Muslim community will see it like this:
After her situation drew so much attention, Yao was put in touch with the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), a non-profit advocacy and lobby group.

Nusaiba Al-Azem, director of legal affairs for the NCCM, told CBC she believes the school violated OCDSB policies by both telling Yao not to come to school without officially suspending her and for punishing her for pro-Palestinian statements.

"To imply that what [Yao] said was harmful is itself a form of anti-Palestinian erasure and anti-Palestinian racism, which the school board has a specific policy against," she said.

Evans agreed that Yao did not break any rules. She cited the OCDSB's own guidelines, which say "slogans or symbols that signal solidarity, such as 'Free Palestine' etc. are permitted so long as they don't violate the code of conduct."

Something I've seen come up a few times over the last day or so is a comment by a retired US sailor commenting on the terrible marching and lack of order from the US Army during the Petulant Ponce's parade. Basically, they pointed out that from day 0 in training they are taught to march in lock step. Perfect timing, perfect order. What the Army did during the parade was casually walk their antiquated museum pieces down the street in sloppy fashion ... and it was very deliberate. The entire "parade" was a massive "fuck you" to the tangerine tyrant. There were no dress uniforms, not polished boots, no modern hardware to show off ... and not a single fuck given about the toddler in chief's birthday. The whole thing was a massive waste of their time and they showed it in every step they took.

I didn't watch any of it (I refuse to watch even one clip of birthday boy lol), but that's good to hear. It means that he hasn't got the majority of the military on his side.

Heheh... I was just reading that Donald is FURIOUS with the troops for "having a good time instead of projecting the menacing military presence he was looking for" and with Hegseth for allowing them to behave that way. This is good. The sooner they realize that they are just chattel to him, the better.

That's like what I say... "say fuck and mean it". Softer synonyms (or asterisks) are worse :-)
