Re: Scottish Leader Sums It Up
They're as bad as each other. Both are hateful, grotesque, narcissists, but while Musk was able to put Trump in power through manipulating the voting machines, Trump has the power to destroy Musk's empire, send the piece of Nazi shit back to Sith Ifrica, and ban him from ever coming back the the USA ...

Re: Black Mesa
I've been playing this as well and I think it still holds it's own. The ending is also different to the original, as is the Gonarch boss fight part way through the Xen dimension. Same concept but much better executed. It's still a little disturbing being attacked by a four legged crab with a massive ...

Re: The mental disfunction continues - more murder-sickles!
You don't actually turn the bars at speed, you do a thing called "counter steering" where you push the right bar to go right and v/v. You'd think it would be the opposite, that pushing the right bar forward would turn you to the left, but it's not.

Re: The mental disfunction continues - more murder-sickles!
The R is in very good condition despite a few niggles. The K ... well like I said, it did catch fire while I was riding it. There's things wrong all over the place, from broken mountings to missing screws. I've spent 3/4 of what I paid for it on top just replacing broken or incorrect parts used by ...

The mental disfunction continues - more murder-sickles!
So while I do look in occasionally I don't say much. Been busy with stuff and things, daughter, son in law, and granddaughter live with us now.
Aaaaaaanyway ... I accidentally bought another murder-sickle and then deliberately bought one.
Got my whole arse scammed off on the first one, an old BMW ...

Yes, that was planned. To humiliate him and kick him out of the meeting. Vance was fucking smirking. The press is going around saying shit like Zelenskyy was goading them, too.
This bully behaviour is actually going to weaken America, because now nobody respects it. Other leaders will now plot ...

I see a petition has been presented in Canada for Musk's Canadian citizenship to be revoked over his conduct in the US government. In response he has said that Canada is "not a real country". Seriously, get on with it! Revoke that shit!

Re: Scottish Leader Sums It Up
What's scary is the number of people who think he'll do his four years and leave. He's already pushing to amend the constitution to give himself another term if not longer. Musk is being allowed to put himself in control of everything and steal every last byte of people's private information.

Re: Scottish Leader Sums It Up
The American people were warned and warned and warned what kind of filth he is. His own niece who knows him personally said he is the only person she has ever met that has not a single redeeming quality. He's now openly admitted that he got Musk's help to manipulate the election result. There is at ...

The boots I wear are good for that kind of protection, but in that instance my leg simply didn't move. It was numb but I hadn't noticed or I'd have been moving it around earlier.

Re: 2025
My eldest son lives five hours drive away, and my sister and other family are over 8 hours away. The route we take to get there is a LOT of high speed motorway. By the time we get there I have to make sure my leg hasn't gone to sleep so I don't just fall flat when I stop.

I have to watch myself after about 45 minutes when riding. My speed perception adjusts and I start to not notice when I'm going faster than the limits. The BMWs have been the worst for this as they're just so comfortable at speed.

Re: 2025
Yep, summer here. Already had days in the high 30s and there will certainly be some coming up by mid Fed in the mid 40s. Not fun anywhere in that heat.
I'm not typically a fast rider, I leave that for others. If I'm going to open the bike up I am very careful to pick my place and time.

Re: 2025
The historic rego here also lets me have really cheap personal injury insurance, what I've called 'CTP' earlier. Instead of around $500 it's down to $50 on the basis that I won't be riding remotely as often and thus a far lower risk.

Re: 2025
I'm getting inclined to go the Historic route since it's a big cost difference and realistically I don't ride a huge amount any more so the 60 days for personal rides shouldn't be a problem. My wife keeps telling me I can keep my other bike, a 650 V-Strom, which has full rego and is in a cheaper ...

Re: 2025
I think so.
The Historic registration scheme was brought in to cater to people who have older vehicles that don't get used for things like shopping or commuting so they don't cost nearly as much to keep on the road compared to a daily driver/rider. I am prone to occasionally pissing off for a ride ...

Yes. Normal registration requires me to get the vehicle inspected every year (basic safety inspection for a nominal fee, called a "pink slip"), pay the registration fee, and pay for third party personal insurance (covers injuries, not property, called a "green slip"). That's the minimum legal ...

Re: 2025
I'm still deciding on how to register it yet, then there will be the learning period as it's not a trivial engine in these things. I could go with historic/club registration which costs a lot less but restricts how much I can use it, or open rego which is of course unrestricted but costs a lot more ...

Well, starting off the new year with a "well that's a pleasant surprise", I accidentally bought another motorcycle. We get dark chocolate with chilli here on occasion. Sometimes in bar form, sometimes biscuits (TimTams). They're something different.
