How to read your report

You will see a summary of your overall tracking protection. The first section gives you a general idea of what your browser configuration is blocking (or not blocking). Below that is a list of specific browser characteristics in the format that a tracker would view them. We also provide descriptions of how they are incorporated into your fingerprint.

How can trackers track you?

Trackers use a variety of methods to identify and track users. Most often, this includes tracking cookies, but it can also include browser fingerprinting. Fingerprinting is a sneakier way to track users and makes it harder for users to regain control of their browsers. This report measures how easily trackers might be able to fingerprint your browser.

Here's a summary of my results using Firefox in CatchyOS, it shows detailed results for every element down below the summary information I pasted in here:

I tried it in Chromium, I don't generally use that browser but it has uBlock Origin Lite (regular uBlock Origin isn't allowed in Chromium anymore), and the test says it's not blocking tracking ads or invisible trackers. Firefox doesn't reveal the memory count but Chromium does, only it's reported wrong (8 GB vs 64 GB).

Interesting... I just tried it and got horrible results, but I have all privacy stuff turned off in the browser because I don't want it getting in my way. Ublock Origin doesn't seem to be blocking anything on that site (the tracker it is using wouldn't be in the anti-tracking URL lists), it's likely the default Firefox settings giving you partial protection.

Mine says No on blocking the trackers.

Same on the fingerprinting... 17.88

I'm not really concerned about tracking and fingerprinting, because if I need to be stealthy, I know just how to do that.
